• Junior and senior fellow researchers from all nationalities

    Junior researcher is the experienced fellow who has either his/her doctoral degree/Ph.D or 4 years of full-time equivalent research experience.The upper limit will be ten years of experience following the PhD degree.

    Senior researcher represents the senior fellow who has more than 10 years of research experience following the PhD degree.
  • Full time equivalent research experience: this is measured from the date when the researcher obtained the degree which would formally entitle her/him to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the research training is provided, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is envisaged.
  • Researchers showing trans-national mobility

    Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date.
    Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account. (According to the 2011 People work programme).

    French citizens living abroad are not excluded if they can show trans-national mobility.
